The shallow, rectangular tray decorated with budding stalks of lotus in gold and black takamaki-e on a deep green lacquer ground with the texture of mottled stone, the exterior matching, the rim matte silver, signed with incised signature in the lacquer on the lower right interior corner--13 5/8 x 8 x 1 1/8in. (34.7 x 20.2 x 2.8cm.)
