The square dish inlaid in mother-of-pearl and horn with a central panel of birds and flowering plum within a gold border rendered in hiramaki-e on a kinji ground of wisteria, bamboo and quails by a flowing river and wooded hillsides, the edge nashiji--9 x 9 x 1¼in. (22.8 x 22.8 x 3.3cm.)
