The caddy lid with acorn finials and gadrooned border over the arched glazed door with brass sounding panels, the floral-cast bronze rim on leaf-cast feet, the enamel dial signed JOHN GRANT FLEET STREET LONDON and with strike/silent and seconds dial in the arch, the backplate elaborately engraved with a basket of flowers and foliate scrolls, the two-train movement with anchor escapement striking the hour on a bell
