A SILVER TEAPOT, maker's mark of James Black, Philadelphia, circa 1815, urn form, on molded circular short pedestal base, engraved with script monogram, with die rolled stiff leaf band at the shoulder, with patera capped partly panelled spout, slightly waisted neck, die rolled band above, with leaf capped wood scroll handle, the hinged partly domed cover with flat chased radiating oak leaf calyx to the acorn finial--8¾in. (22.2cm.) high, gross weight 23oz.
