"The youngest general in the Union army, his record was one of the most spectacular of the Civil War. He possessed lust for battle, a massive ego, and driving ambition. He was also impetuous, but he was successful until that afternoon of June 25, 1876, when he and his entire force of 266 officers and men were massacred at Little Big Horn, Montana, by over 2,000 Sioux, led by Sitting Bull"--W.M.
