The arms are those of Norden impaling those of Norden. The Norden arms were granted April 24, 1771 to Solomon Norden of All Hallows, Staining, London, a merchant and grandson of Solomon Norden, described as "late of Amsterdam, merchant". Solomon Norden's daughter, Leah, married Assur Keyser. Their son, Moses Solomon Keyser, was one of the founders of the Jewish Board of Guardians in England (see The Jewish Historical Society of England, Anglo-Jewish Notabilities, their Arms and Testamentary Dispositions, 1949, pp. 112-113).
