Lot Essay

Jacques Catelin was a French film actor who starred in Marcel L'Herbier's 1925 film L'Inhumaine. One of the first talking movies, L'Inhumaine was largely influenced by the German Expressionist movement and included set design by Fernand Lèger, costumes by Sonia and Robert Delauney and furniture by Pierre Charreau.
