拍品專文

This extraordinary small group illustrates the techniques employed by Miro early on in his printmaking career. In the production of these prints he was ably assisted by Louis Marcoussis with whom he had also collabrated on Portrait de Miró (Dupin 31; Milet 193). It seems that Marcoussis was instrumental in drawing Miro back to the technique of etching, as Miro wrote to Marcoussis on March 29, 1938, "Mon Cher ami, je suis dans ce beau pays pour quelques jours et pense toujours à cette passionante technique de l'eau-forte que je reprendrai aussitôt rentre en suivant vos precieux conseils."
