GARRETT, PATRICK FLOYD, Sheriff. Engraved document signed and initialled ("P.F. Garrett" and "P.F.G") as Secretary of The Alabama Gold and Copper Mining Company, Jarilla, New Mexico, 12 December 1899. 1 page, oblong 4to, accomplished in manuscript, printed in green and black inks, with ornate engraved border, heading and text, circular embossed gilt paper seal at lower left, verso engraved and printed in brown bearing revenue stamp dated and initialled ("P.F.G") by Garett. Fine.
A $200,000.00 capital stock certificate of the Alabama Gold and Copper Mining Company stating "...that D.M. Goodrich is the owner of Two Hundred Shares of the Capital Stock..." The shares were valued at $10.00 each and were "...non-assessable, transferable only on the books of the Corporation by the holder..." Pat Garrett is best known as the man who shot and killed Billy the Kid in 1881.
