Claude-Charles Saunier, maître in 1752

Claude-Charles Saunier was born in Paris in 1735 and was descended from a dynasty of ébénistes. A precursor of the Neoclassical style probably executed for a specific commission, this commode certainly reflects the interaction of either the marchand-merciers Simon-Philippe Poirier or François Darnault.
