DICKENS, CHARLES. Autograph letter signed ("Charles Dickens") to editor and publisher Frederic Shoberl, arranging a meeting and asking about a paper to be printed. Devonshire Terrace, 23 April 1841. One page, 8vo; mounted to card. "... Can you ascertain... whether my paper is over the quantity... or under? If there be a blank page, I have a little sonnet of Serjeant Talfourd's which will save to fill it..." With a 7-line postscript on verso -- Mounted with cut signatures of Tom Taylor and Leigh Hunt, an ALS by John Doyle, and an postmarked envelope addressed by Richard Doyle. (4)
