(9 1/16 x 5 3/8 in.), bevelled edges, the engraved side highly polished, very minor surface wear, the date nearly polished out, contained in a removable felt frame within green morocco gilt-lettered folding-case (broken). With Chapman & Hall's typed signed certificate of authenticity and an impression of the plate loosely inserted. The plate is Hatton & Cleaver's third state, but the date has been effaced (see Hatton & Cleaver pp. 186 and 211).
