The Pont des Invalides, linking the Quai de la Conférence and the Quai d'Orsay was built in 1825. It was a toll bridge 120 meters long and seven meters wide, made for large carriages and suspended with chains. The middle arch was 67 meters long. The bridge was later rebuilt and the arches lowered.
