Adelaide Yerkes was the wife of Charles T. Yerkes (1837-1905) , a collector of such magnitude that ten days in 1910 were needed to auction his collection. Mrs. Charles Yerkes's sale, in 1912, still required two, her collection also consisting of paintings by Cazin, Stevens, Boldini, and Isabey.
