Lord Nelson at the Battle of the Nile

This work was executed in 1947 as an illustration for National Geographic. However tafter research proved that Nelson was not present at the battle, the watercolor was not published.

This watercolor will be included in Betsy James Wyeth's forthcoming catalogue raisonné of the artist's work.
