This is one of the most famous of the Revolutionary issues, intrisically the most valuable. Not only is its denomination curious, but it is the largest ever struck in the history of Mexico up to its time. The announced fineness of 902000 is also eccentric, since this had been the fineness of the Federal silver Peso up to 1914, while contemporary Federal gold was being struck at 900/1000 fine.
