The flat gem engraved with a female bust in profile to the left, wearing a cloak and earrings and a simple necklace with a globular pendant, her hair neatly arranged beneath a diadem, set in an oval tapered box bezel, the hollow gold hoop, nearly triangular in section, with scrolled shoulders, with a large ball above a smaller one joined to one end of the bezel, perhaps to indicate the direction of the gem
