Molded in the form of a griffin's head, with a spikey comb, forward-projecting pointed ears and, a long tongue within the open beak, a tufted projection below, the slender bowl with a molding accentuating the flaring lip, painted with a woman wearing a peplos, seated on a pile of rocks, with a fan in her right hand, a phiale in her left with an iunx wheel hanging below, a fillet and a rosette in the field, palmettes on either side, a band of dotted egg below the scene and on the rim, laurel on the strap handle, details in added white, intact
