The hood with arched pediment surmounted by pierced diamond and scrolled latticework centering three ball-and-spire brass finials above an arched glazed door opening to a white-painted dial with Arabic and Roman chapter rings enclosing a sweep seconds hand surmounted by blue-painted lunette with rocking ship, the spandrels embellished with painted roses all flanked by fluted colonettes with brass capitals and bases all above a waisted case centering a thumbmolded cupboard door flanked by stop-fluted quarter columns with brass Corinthian capitals, on shaped bracket feet
