A GERMAN SILVER KETTLE, STAND AND LAMP, maker's mark of Johann Friedrich Brahmfeld, Hamburg, circa 1840, broadly lobed melon form, with partly fluted and rocaille and leaf decorated swan's neck spout, the part foliate multi-scroll, part carved bone, swing handle issuing from rocaille joins, the conforming, raised, side hinged cover topped by cast flower finial, on twice pinned circular stand, the detachable burner lacking cover, all raised on four foliate capped S scroll and dolphin supports on rocaille pad supports--height over handle 17¼in. (18.4cm.) high, gross weight 92oz.
