A VICTORIAN SILVER COFFEE JUG AND A FRENCH EGOISTE, the first maker's mark of Martin & Hall, Sheffield, 1875, round shouldered vase form with straight mid section, bordered by panels of flat chased arabesque divided by concave flutes, with molded girdles between, the molded neck chased with band of flowers and scroll and twice with stylized mask, squat spout, scroll handle, the raised, hinged, decorated cover topped by baluster finial--11in. (27.9cm.) high, the swirling fluted pear shaped pot on four tapering supports, with chased rocaille borders, squat festoon hung spout, wood side handle, the hinged cover with thumbpiece and fluted button finial--stamped Fouquet Gueudet, probably late 19th century--6¼in. (15.8cm.) high, gross weight 37.5oz. (2)
