A FIVE PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Gorham, circa 1860, no. 211, retailed by Starr & Marcus, comprising teapot, long necked coffee pot, two handled covered sugar bowl, long neck milk jug and waste bowl, Medallion pattern, each globular on spreading circular base, mid section applied four times with classical profile medallion, engraved above and below at intervals with classical motif arabesque, medallions linked by die rolled dart band, with medallion applied high arched loop handle, the coffee pot with bifurcated tendril join, the pots with highly upraised straight spout, the hinged slightly raised cover topped by molded cone finial--the coffee pot 10½in. (26.6cm.) high, gross weight 107oz. (5)
