Tadolini exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1853 after studying with both his father Adamo Tadolini and Fracassini, the former while at the Rome Academy. Tadolini is perhaps best known for his work on the memorials to Victor Emmanuel at Perugia, and Pope Leo XIII in the church of St. John Lateran.
