The shaped rectangular frame consisting of carved and etched ivory shell form mounts with applied ivory leaves, dolphins and sea creatures, the pediment mounted with an armorial crest flanked by cherubs above a ribbon swag inscribed SGOTORVM, all surrounding an oval mirror panel and mounted on a red velvet back panel
