A GROUP OF EMBROIDERED SILK ROUNDELS AND BADGES OF RANK, QING DYNASTY AND LATER, the first a rust ground roundel, 18th century, finely worked in Peking knot and couched gold threads with writhing chilong dragons surrounding a central shou character amidst composite floral scroll, all outlined in gold thread; together with ten embroidered silk civil badges of rank, some worked in multi-colored satin stitch and others in gold and silver couched threads; and a dragon roundel, embroidered in two halves and worked in gold thread against a black ground--the first roundel 14 in. diam.; badges-- approx. 12in. across (12)
