A TEAL GROUND SILK EMBROIDERED WOMAN'S UNOFFICIAL FORMAL ROBE, EARLY 19TH CENTURY, worked on the front and back in satin stitch and Peking knot with eight large roundels of floral, gourd and fruit superimposed on stylized bats, the black-ground collar and cuffs similarly decorated and bordered by gold-and-blue-ground brocade seal, all above a hem of lishui stripe beneath large peony heads and below the terrestrial diagram, picked out in vibrant colors against a bluish-green ground (some fading)--59 in. long
