A LARGE ARCHAISTIC VASE, MEIJI PERIOD (CIRCA 1900), SIGNED MAKUZU KOZAN SEI, the large vase of hu form moulded in high relief in the archaic style with lappets, phoenix and dragons, the outlines of which are unglazed and burnt brown in the firing, the ground covered by a deep tea-dust glaze, signed on the bottom in a large square reserve--15¾ in. high
