A PAIR OF HUANGHUALI WEIQI COUNTER CONTAINERS, WEIQIZIHE
17TH/18TH CENTURY
Each rounded container tapering inwards from the high flattened shoulder towards the shallow ring foot, the domed cover with central recess, both containers formed from the same piece of wood, the wood beautifully figured, evoking fantastical mountain landscapes
