A PAIR OF HUANGHUALI RECTANGULAR WAISTED STOOLS, CHANGFANGDENG
LATE 16TH/EARLY 17TH CENTURY

The soft-mat seat set in a rectangular framed top with 'ice-plate' edge above a straight waist and simple beaded apron formed from a single piece of wood, supported on elegant C-curved, beaded legs of square section terminating in hoof feet, joined by slightly recessed humpback stretchers
