A RARE PAIR OF HUANGHUALI DRUM STOOLS, ZUODUN
17TH CENTURY

Each with a small recessed soft-mat seat set within a circular frame, supported on four long, elegantly curved, beaded legs flaring at the top and bottom where they are joined by symmetrical, generously curving beaded aprons, the upper and lower borders outlined by beading and set with large 'nail head' bosses, all raised on low pad feet
