JIAJING SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN A LINE IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD

Heavily potted, the deep, curved sides painted in rich tones of underglaze blue with two large five-clawed dragons racing through clouds, one with head turned backwards to look at the flaming pearl that divides them, within linear borders repeated on the thick, molded rim, cracks and chips

A fish bowl of this date and pattern, but of smaller size, was included in the exhibition, Selected Ceramcis from the Collection of Mr. & Mrs. J.M.
