Comprising a pair of rectangular scroll weights carved in high relief on top with bats in flight amidst vaporous clouds surrounding a central cartouche carved with a shou character; another small rectangular scroll weight carved on top with a prunus tree inlaid with 'jewels'; and an arched, rectangular wristrest carved in low relief with archaistic bird scroll surrounding three pieces of glass inlay also carved with archaistic motifs, the reverse stained red and inscribed with a four-character inscription, 'Treasured plaything of a library/literary room' within a carved scroll cartouche
