18TH/19TH CENTURY
Comprising a box and cover carved in the form of a crane standing amidst lingzhi fungus; a mountain carved in shallow relief on one side with a scholar and an attendant seated beneath a pine tree, the reverse carved with a deer and a crane; an elderly scholar carrying a peach branch over one shoulder; a shallow oval basin with a naked boy in the interior, and two other boys at either end, Qianlong four-character inscribed seal mark within a double square and possibly of the period; a figure of a maiden holding a lotus leaf stem; and a figure of a kneeling acolyte, chips and minor restoration
