JINGTAI FOUR-CHARACTER MARK ENGRAVED WITHIN A SQUARE, LATE MING DYNASTY
Of heavy weight, the shallow sides encircled by an undulating stem bearing small dark green leaves which frame each of the large lotus blossoms which alternate as ascending or descending, those ascending of yellow, pale green, mottled blue, and white tone, those descending all of dark red tone, reserved on a dark turquoise ground, the flat rim with raised outer border and a pair of curved qilin handles, the whole raised on a ring foot supported on the backs of three recumbent, winged qilin, some minor loss of enamels
