Raised on four upright, dragon-form legs decorated with foliate birds, the two long sides decorated with taotie masks below bands of dragons, with variations of the same motifs on the narrower sides below the upright loop handles, each side and the corners applied with a notched flange, the cover notched to fit over the handles and decorated with a band of chrysanthemum scroll below a pierced band of foliate bird scroll, the whole surmounted by a pierced dragon knop raised on a rectangular platform with raised petal border
