(12 1/2 x 7 3/4 in.), original papered seal of Massachusetts, text in an elegant clerk's hand. EXTRADITING TWO HORSE-THIEVES. The former brewer signs an extradition order: "...[I]t is strongly suspected that Jacob Cooley and George White, now confined in the Goal at Albany...did, on the night following the [14th] day of April...feloniously take & steal two Horses from the Stables of...Cushing, Mitchell, and Ephraim Cary...I have therefore thought fit...to demand the said Jacob Cooley and George White be delivered over to...the County of Berkshire..."
