A GEORGE III SILVER DESSERT-BASKET ON STAND, maker's mark Wakelin & Taylor, London, 1788, the base pierced bellflowers flanked by stylized anthemion, the sides of the flaring oval bowl with triple bellflower applied arches, open above, centering two sides ribbon-tied circular vacant cartouche, with pierced Vitruvian wave band above, with two ram's mask drop ring handles, all on four beaded bud supports--14in.
