A GEORGE III SILVER COFFEE POT, maker's mark of Shaw & Preist, London, apparently 1754, baluster, on rocaille chased molded circular base, the lower body chased and engraved with broad frieze of blossoms, rocaille, scalework and foliate scrolls, the leaf capped highly upraised scroll spout with rocaille surround, shoulder with conforming frieze, with high arched scroll wood handle, the hinged molded low domed chased cover topped by acorn finial--10¾in. (27.3cm.) high, gross weight 28.5oz.
