A GEORGE III SILVER PAIR OF TWO HANDLED SALTS, MUSTARD POT, A SUGAR-SIFTER AND FOUR TEASPOONS, maker's mark of Hester Bateman, London, the oval bat-winged fluted, gilt lined salts each on conforming pedestal base, with upswept reeded handles--1787--length over handles 5½in. (13.9cm.), the hinged covered oval mustard-pot with open base and clear glass liner, urn finial, the sugar sifter engraved with crest, with tapering curved handle--6½in. (16.5cm.) long, the teaspoons, crest engraved with beaded rims, topped by rocaille--struck with maker's mark and lion passant only, together with a baluster caster--London, 1789, maker's mark ?GG--5½in.
