An identical pair of candlesticks of the same year are illustrated in Michael Clayton, The Collector's Dictionary of the Silver and Gold of Great Britain and North America, 1971, fig. 82, p. 62. Another pair is at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. A further pair by Nelme, but marked for his son Francis, was sold at Christie's, New York, October 27, 1992, lot 396.
