Lot Essay

The absence of carved moldings and knees on this table enabled the craftsman here to expose the richness of the mahogany surfaces and the vigorous but elegant lines of the table. Another similarly unadorned table was advertised in The Magazine Antiques (February, 1929), For further information, see discussion of following lot.
