The cariatides case with stiff leaf and berry cast cornices, the dial with foliate pierced center, blued steel spade hands, the chapter ring with black-painted Arabic numerals and signed Gve. Sandoz 10, Rue Royale, Paris, subsidiary alarm ring below, the silvered lever platform with bimetallic balance, strike/repeat/alarm on two gongs via three hammers, with two-position strike selection lever to the underside
