The foliate-cast ormolu dial with individual enamel Roman cartouches for the hours and outer Arabic cartouches for the seconds with finely sculpted blued steel hands, the central enamel roundel signed Jaques Huguet à Paris, the movement with square plates secured with back-pinned vase-shaped pillars, verge escapement with silk-suspended pendulum and calibrated countwheel strike on bell, the backplate with repeat signature, the case of waisted outline with foliate ormolu mounts and with multi-coloured polychrome enamel foliage, the detachable top surmounted by an ormolu figure in period dress holding a dove, the ogee-molded wall bracket with similar ormolu mounts and enamel decoration
