The white enamel Roman chapter disc within a rope-twist ormolu border and with blued steel moon hands, signed Lopin, Palais Royal No. 143, the movement with circular plates and four back-pinned pillars, anchor escapement with silk-suspended pendulum, countwheel strike on bell on the plain backplate, the case cast as an allegory of Love with a shield frame mounted with arrows and a burnished ormolu A beneath a floral surmount, the center with crossed quivers intersected by a bow and conjoined by a love heart and a wreath of flowers, the octagonal base applied with a central relief panel of a cupid and Chronos and a winged cherub crossing the Styx, the whole on four paw feet
