The break-arch cream painted dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring with pierced brass hands, signed in the center Johnson Royal Exchange London, subsidiary rings in the arch for strike/silent and chime/not chime with six tune selection above for the following tunes; Duke of York's March/Butlers Reel/Song/Morpeth Rant/Minuette/Song, the large movement with six pillars and triple chain fusees, anchor escapement, the music playing every three hours on 12 bells via 22 hammers and 20cm. long pin barrel, hour strike on further bell positioned on the backplate finely engraved with scrolling foliage and centered with a flowering urn, the case with flambeau urn finials to the galleried bell top, handles above the side doors with foliate-cast sound panels, trailing floral satyr caryatids to the angles and on elaborate foliate-scrolling feet; with purpose-made mahogany pedestal base with similar caryatids angles and foliate-scrolling feet
