The 11in. sq. dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, elaborately pierced blued steel hands, the matted center with subsidiary seconds ring, ringed winding holes, decorated calendar aperture and rosette-engraved center, the chapter ring signed at the bottom Daniel Quare, London, winged cherub-and-foliate spandrels, the five ringed pillar movement with anchor escapement and high-position outside countwheel strike on a bell above, the movement with brass backplate securing bracket to a brass backboard bracket of the case with brass ball finials to the caddy top, later foliate pierced wood soundfrets to the frieze supported on gilt-brass-capped ¾-columns, concave throat molding to the rectangular trunk door, the feather-banded plinth with simple skirted foot
