Of bee-hive form resting on a ring foot and moulded with a short, cylindrical spout at one side, the domed surface painted in pale and medium washes of underglaze blue with a stand of three orchids with large blossoms and slender leaves, the body of the washer glazed white save the foot and tinged blue where applied more thickly under the spout, incised mark on recessed base--3 3/8in.
