Carved as a seated tiger licking its left front paw, the tail curved over the back and the backbone articulated as a narrow ridge between the shoulder blades, fur incised and stained dark, himotoshi formed by the spaces between the paws, signed on the underside of right leg--1¼in. (3.2cm.) high, hairline age cracks
