THREE IVORY NETSUKE

Comprising a ryusa netsuke carved in the form of a bat perched atop rui fungus, both auspicious symbols, himotoshi formed of the open spaces in the fungus; the second carved as a squirrel climbing on an overturned mushroom, biting into the edge, himotoshi on the underside, details etched and stained; the third carved as two toy swallows, one propped up on the other, their backs decorated with scroll and wave patterns, himotoshi on the base--1½, 1 5/8 and 1 3/8in.
