THREE IVORY NETSUKE

The first carved in the figure of a seated oni, roaring fiercely, with a drum strapped to his back, signed Kosai on the base near the himotoshi, with ebony inlays for the eyes and around the rim of the drum; the second modelled as the figure of a mother, carrying a child on her back and holding a tea kettle, signed Masatoshi on the figure's side, himotoshi to the back; the third carved in the form of a snarling tiger seated with its four paws together, himotoshi formed by the space between the paws, unsigned--2, 2 and 1½in.
